Rebecca Patterson Named to Forbes “50 Over 50” Women in Money List

Chief Investment Strategist Rebecca Patterson joined Bridgewater in 2020, having previously led a successful career in journalism, followed by 15 years at JP Morgan, and most recently serving as Chief Investment Officer at Bessemer Trust where she managed $85 billion in assets. She came into her new role at Bridgewater at the beginning of the pandemic and quickly put her wide-ranging experience to work, identifying focus areas for the firm such as research tied to the influence of global supply chains.

Rebecca now partners closely with the firm’s Client Service and Investment Engine departments, developing new investment solutions for our institutional clients and shaping the firm’s agenda for researching and building systematic strategies to trade across global financial markets.

A Partner and a member of Bridgewater’s Executive Committee, Investment Committee, and Commercial and Business Strategy Committee, Rebecca is also a primary contributor to driving and expanding diversity and inclusion efforts across the investment community and Bridgewater at large.

In recognition of her accomplishments within Bridgewater and in her prior roles, Rebecca was named to Forbes’ 2022 “50 Over 50” Women in Money list. Forbes is recognizing trailblazing women across four industries — entertainers, investors, creators, and entrepreneurs — whose careers showcase that success has no age limit.
