Alfia Ilicheva Featured in President George W. Bush’s “Out of Many, One” Project

Bridgewater’s Alfia Ilicheva was recently featured in President George W. Bush’s project, “Out of Many, One,” which celebrates America’s pluralism with a book of immigration stories and a series of portraits painted by the former president. In his just released book, Bush describes Alfia’s remarkable journey that led her family from a small Muslim village in the Volga region of Russia, to Moscow, and eventually to America after the tragic assassination of her father. Alfia, her mother, and sister arrived in the United States with few resources but found communities who welcomed them with open arms and a land of opportunity. By now, Alfia has built a reputation as a dynamic entrepreneur who today works on digital strategy in our client service department. She has also founded a fast-growing organization — Women in Innovation — and has recently completed the Presidential Leadership Scholars program.

Alfia is pictured here in front of her portrait on display at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. Learn more about Alfia and the “Out of Many, One” project by clicking here.
