Joel Whidden
Global Head of Business Development
Joel joined Bridgewater in 2002. He oversees and is responsible for global new business development in Bridgewater’s Advisory business. He is a Partner at the firm, a member of the Commercial and Business Strategy Committee, and is involved in Bridgewater’s Sustainable Investing initiative.
Prior to joining Bridgewater, Joel spent twelve years in Institutional Asset Management Sales and three years in banking and consulting. During that time, he was Director of Public Fund Sales at Deutsche Asset Management, Co-Director of Public Fund Sales at Sanford C. Bernstein, and Head of Sales at Bank of Ireland Asset Management. He received his BBA from Texas Christian University in 1991.
