J Paul Ross
As the Co-Head of Client Service and Marketing since 2017, Paul focuses on building strategic relationships with the largest investors in the world and developing investment and research strategies to meet their objectives. He is also a member of the firm's Operating Committee.
Previously, Paul was Head of Investment Engine Oversight, reporting to the Co-CEOs and Co-Chairmen. Having joined Bridgewater in 2004, his work has spanned the intersection of investment research, client service, and technology. For several years, Paul led Digital Strategy and Transformation, where he built Bridgewater’s client-facing digital research and analytics platform that enables clients to understand markets, stress-test portfolio ideas, build and manage investment portfolios. This digital ecosystem is currently the backbone of the client service effort. He has also published numerous pieces of research on a variety of portfolio, market, and economic topics.
Paul graduated with high honors from Harvard University in 2003 with an AB in Economics, with a secondary focus in Photography. After graduating, he worked at an investment bank in New York focused on media, telecom and technology. He lives with his family in Connecticut, and is a devoted husband and father of three.
