Alex joined Bridgewater in 2010 and is currently a Portfolio Strategist in our Research group, as well as a Partner at the firm. In addition to conducting macroeconomic research, he communicates with Bridgewater’s clients regarding the global outlook, Bridgewater strategies, and portfolio construction. He has expertise in portfolio construction, currencies, credit, commodity, and equity markets. Before joining Bridgewater, Alex was a consultant for Oliver Wyman Financial Services. He has an MA in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Hunter College, and an AB in Philosophy from Princeton University.

Andrew joined Bridgewater in 2004 and serves as Head of Americas for the Client Service department, advising Bridgewater’s largest strategic relationships across North America. He is responsible for developing and managing client and commercial strategy along with building tailored strategic advisory relationships and portfolio strategies to clients in the region. During his 20+ years at Bridgewater, he has partnered directly with a range of the firm’s largest and most sophisticated global investors as well as being responsible for developing and advising Bridgewater’s relationships with key investment consulting firms, both domestically and internationally. Andrew is also a Partner at the firm. He received his BA from Bucknell University, graduating summa cum laude.

Atul joined Bridgewater in 2018 and is Head of the Portfolio Strategist group. Atul works closely with the co-CIOs and partners with Bridgewater’s clients on their most important investment priorities, including developing investment strategies to meet their goals and providing insight into the research group’s thinking on global markets and economic conditions. He is also a Partner at the firm.

As Deputy CIO, Blake partners with the CIOs to oversee Bridgewater’s Pure Alpha and AIA strategies. He also sets Bridgewater’s investment talent and technology strategies, focused on using artificial intelligence to transform the firm’s approach to deeply understanding economies and markets. Blake leads Bridgewater’s investor talent program, including designing the firm’s pipelines for hiring, early-career training, and ongoing development and impact. Previously Head of Cross-Asset Strategies and Co-Head of Currency Research, he reshaped the firm’s global FX framework across developed and emerging markets.

David joined Bridgewater in 2012 and as Managing Deputy Chief Investment Officer he partners closely with our co-CIOs, evolving Bridgewater’s investment strategies. As Head of Currency Research, David is responsible for overseeing Bridgewater’s currency portfolio and incubating new strategies for inclusion in our alpha process across rate, equity, currency, and commodity markets. He is a member of Bridgewater’s Investment Committee as well as a Partner at the firm. Prior to his current role, David oversaw a portfolio where he traded a cross-asset portfolio primarily focusing on FX and rate markets.David graduated magna cum laude from Yale University where he majored in Economics and Political Science. External to Bridgewater he is also a mentor in the Girls Who Invest summer internship program.
