David joined Bridgewater in 2012 and as Managing Deputy Chief Investment Officer he partners closely with our co-CIOs, evolving Bridgewater’s investment strategies. As Head of Currencies and Commodities, David is responsible for overseeing Bridgewater’s currency and commodity portfolios and incubating new strategies for inclusion in our alpha process across rate, equity, currency, and commodity markets. He is a member of Bridgewater’s Investment Committee as well as a Partner at the firm. Prior to his current role, David oversaw a portfolio where he traded a cross-asset portfolio primarily focusing on FX and rate markets.

David graduated magna cum laude from Yale University where he majored in Economics and Political Science. External to Bridgewater, he is also a mentor in the Girls Who Invest summer internship program.
