Chip Packard

Chip Packard joined Bridgewater in 2016 and serves as Global Head of Strategic Partnerships for Bridgewater’s Client Service department. In his role, he is responsible for developing and managing the client and commercial strategy across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, as well as building the strategic advisory relationships and delivering tailored portfolio strategies to clients across those regions. Chip is also a Partner of the firm.

Andrew joined Bridgewater in 2004 and serves as Head of Americas for our Client Service department, advising Bridgewater’s largest strategic relationships across North America. He is responsible for developing and managing our client and commercial strategy along with building tailored strategic advisory relationships and portfolio strategies to clients in the region. During his twenty years at Bridgewater, he has partnered directly with a range of the firm’s largest and most sophisticated global investors as well as being responsible for developing and advising Bridgewater’s relationships with key investment consulting firms, both domestically and internationally. Andrew is also a Partner at the firm. He received his B.A. from Bucknell University, graduating summa cum laude.
Joanna Alpert

Joanna Alpert is Head of Total Portfolio Strategies at Bridgewater Associates, focused on delivering innovative investment strategies that address our clients’ biggest challenges. She partners with co-CIO Karen Karniol-Tambour to own and drive the business strategy and is responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the business. Joanna is also responsible for overseeing and commercializing our Asia Investment Strategies, and is the General Manager for Bridgewater China Investment Management Co. (BCIM), overseeing the firm’s strategic direction. Joanna is also a Partner at Bridgewater Associates.
Ken Vogel

Ken joined Bridgewater in 2008 and is Lead Architect and a Partner at the firm. He oversees the technology architecture that drives our investment processes. Ken also led the development of the platform that powers our research process. Prior to joining Bridgewater, Ken got his B.S. from MIT and was an entrepreneur and technologist in a variety of industries, including manufacturing automation, robotics, and finance.
Aaron Seymour

Aaron joined Bridgewater in 2004 and is Head of Investment Implementation, a Partner of the firm, and a member of its Operating Committee. He is responsible for day-to-day global systematic investing activities, ensuring that our portfolios reflect the richness of our insight in line with our Investment Committee and CIOs’ intent. Reporting to the CEO and Deputy CEO, Aaron oversees our Data, Signal Generation, Portfolio Construction, Cash Management, Trade Execution, and Counterparty Relationships teams.
Rob Trudel

Rob is Co-Head of Portfolio Construction, responsible for oversight and implementation of Bridgewater's investment process in Investment Implementation. The Investment Implementation group is responsible for converting Bridgewater’s views into portfolios by applying an understanding of risk controls, security selection, transaction costs, and other factors. Rob joined Bridgewater in 2005 and is a Partner at the firm. He received his BA from Yale University in Economics and Political Science.
Alex Smith

Alex joined Bridgewater in 2010 and is currently a Portfolio Strategist in our Research group, as well as a Partner at the firm. In addition to conducting macroeconomic research, he communicates with Bridgewater’s clients regarding the global outlook, Bridgewater strategies, and portfolio construction. He has expertise in portfolio construction, currencies, credit, commodity, and equity markets. Before joining Bridgewater, Alex was a consultant for Oliver Wyman Financial Services. He has an M.A. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Hunter College, and an A.B. in Philosophy from Princeton University.
Tracey Brady Yurko

Tracey joined Bridgewater in 2012 and is Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, as well a Partner at the firm. She oversees our Legal and Regulatory Department and is responsible for legal and corporate governance, managing legal risk across Bridgewater and its funds. Prior to joining Bridgewater, Tracey practiced with the international law firms, Milbank LLP, and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, representing banks, issuers, private equity funds and mezzanine funds in a wide range of banking and securities transactions. Tracey also represented public and private companies on corporate law and corporate governance matters.
Alex Schiller

Alex joined Bridgewater in 2009 and is Co-Head of Fixed Income Research. He is a Partner of the firm and serves as a member of the Investment Committee, which is responsible for making Bridgewater’s most significant investment decisions. Alex builds and oversees key portions of the firm’s investment systems, with a focus on the understanding and prediction of money flows and their impact on markets. His work has included the ripple effects of quantitative easing on global markets, systematic projections of credit supply and demand, the impact of coordinated monetary and fiscal policies, and the supply/demand dynamics of the gold market. He also plays a significant leadership role in the development of cutting-edge technologies for Bridgewater’s investment process.
Porter Diehl

Porter joined Bridgewater in 2009 and is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and co-Head of the Investment Engine. He partners with the CEO to set and drive the strategic goals and oversee the day-to-day management of the firm and shares responsibility for the strategy and oversight of our Investment Engine. Previously, Porter was Lead of Portfolio Analytics, working closely with our co-CIOs to evolve our portfolio construction process, evaluate and manage investment risks, and design investment strategies for clients. His work has included evolving our risk controls and event risk strategy, researching how to best combine beta and alpha, and systemizing our portfolio construction and trade generation logic.
