Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager at Millennium, Director of Investment Strategy and Partner at Deep Basin Capital, and a Senior Analyst at Citadel, where he focused on energy, utilities, industrials, materials, and commodities. Ian graduated from Colby College with a BA in Economics.

    Robert Colonel is a Senior Investment Associate on the Foreign Exchange research team. He joined Bridgewater in 2013 after graduating from Yale University with a BA in Political Science. Robert worked as an investment associate in Bridgewater’s Client Service department for two years before rotating to the Currency research team in 2016. Since joining the currencies team, he has focused on building many of Bridgewater’s systematic currency flows indicators as well as covering China’s economy and the renminbi.
