Nikunj Jain, Head of Asia Research, has been named to Business Insider’s 2025 Wall Street Rising Stars list—one of 25 standout professionals under the age of 35 who are recognized for redefining the future of finance.
Nikunj’s journey at Bridgewater began at just 20 years old, where he quickly progressed from machine learning to macro-focused roles before taking on his current position as Head of Asia Research, Total Portfolio Strategies. In this role, he works directly with co-CIO Karen Karniol-Tambour to advance Bridgewater’s Asia-focused investment strategy and helps shape the firm’s global perspective.
Reflecting on his recognition, Karen noted, “Watching Nikunj excel in a consequential role early in his tenure reflects our conviction in his ability to shape the future of the company. He’s hyper-bright, analytically rigorous, and technically gifted.”
Raised in New Delhi, he first came to the US for college and earned his computer science degree in two and a half years—this very drive to embrace challenges is what led him to Bridgewater.
