Oliver Simon
Oliver joined Bridgewater in 2016 and is Head of AI & ML Investment Strategy and a Partner of the firm. He has been part of AIA since its inception and today leads its investment strategy. Oliver’s research has been instrumental in developing new insights at the cutting edge of science and investment strategy.
Prior to that, he spent time in the equity space, working closely with Co-CIO Greg Jensen on bottom-up, company-by-company insights that combine Bridgewater’s macro estimates with fundamental assessments and laying the groundwork to bring them to tradable strategies. More broadly, Oliver has led research into the firm’s trading costs. Before joining Bridgewater, he spent two years at Morgan Stanley as a risk manager in interest rate options and exotics.
Oliver studied Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, graduating in 2014. In 2026, he was named to Institutional Investor's Hedge Fund Rising Stars list.
