Fred Post
Fred joined Bridgewater in 2003 and is currently Head of Resiliency Alpha strategies and a Partner at the firm. As Head of Resiliency Alpha strategies, he is responsible for the strategy, oversight, and evolution of Bridgewater’s tailored alpha portfolios as well as partnering with our clients to develop tailored investment strategies that improve portfolio resiliency.
He has been deeply involved with research and design of these strategies for several years and reports directly to the firm’s co-CIOs. Fred also serves as a Senior Portfolio Strategist, where he shares Bridgewater’s best thinking on global markets and economies and partners with clients on their investment challenges with expertise in portfolio construction, foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, commodity, and equity markets. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with the co-CIOs to advance research initiatives, create investment strategies, and regularly contribute to the Bridgewater Daily Observations. Additionally, Fred has led research teams with specific focus on developed and emerging global bond and currency markets. Fred received his BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.
