Ben Melkman
Managing Deputy Chief Investment Officer
Ben joined Bridgewater in 2024 and currently serves as Managing Deputy Chief Investment Officer. In that role, he partners closely with the firm's co-CIOs to oversee Pure Alpha, Bridgewater's flagship portfolio, and manages his own cross-asset investment portfolio. Ben is a member of Bridgewater's Investment Committee and a Partner of the firm.
Before joining Bridgewater, Ben founded and served as CEO and CIO of Light Sky Macro, a multi-billion-dollar discretionary macro investment firm. He was previously a Senior Portfolio Manager and Partner at Brevan Howard, and before that led the Cross-Asset Macro Group at Morgan Stanley.
Ben graduated from the London School of Economics with a First-Class Honours BSc.
