Ben Melkman
Managing Deputy Chief Investment Officer
Ben Melkman joined Bridgewater in 2024 and is Managing Deputy CIO. Ben is directly responsible for managing a cross-asset portfolio of investments and works with the firm's co-CIOs to oversee Pure Alpha, the firm’s flagship portfolio.
Previously, he was the founder, CEO, and CIO of Light Sky Macro, a multi-billion-dollar discretionary macro investment firm. He has also served as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Partner at Brevan Howard and ran the Cross-Asset Macro Group at Morgan Stanley.
Ben graduated from the London School of Economics with a First-Class Honours BSc.
