Atul Narayan
Atul joined Bridgewater in 2011 and currently serves as co-Head of Equities. He is a member of Bridgewater’s Investment Committee, responsible for undertaking the firm’s most significant investment decisions, and is a Partner at the firm. Atul’s focus is overseeing Bridgewater’s key country level outright and diff equity trading systems as well as exploring new areas of diversifying alpha, such as the development of new “bottom-to-top” equity strategies. Before his work in equities, Atul spent several years leading Bridgewater’s commodity team with a special focus on oil. His views on markets and the economy frequently feature in the firm’s daily research pieces, Bridgewater Daily Observations.
Prior to joining Bridgewater, Atul worked at Och-Ziff Capital Management in New York. In 2020, he was named to the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Abshire-Inamori Leadership Cohort. He holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
