Joe McGeehin serves as Head of Corporate Development at Bridgewater, leading strategic initiatives related to growth, capital, and governance. He is also a member of the firm's Commercial and Business Strategy Committee and its board representative for Elemental Cognition, an artificial intelligence company.
Prior to Bridgewater, Joe was appointed by the Obama Administration as a White House Fellow, serving from 2016 to 2017 in the Office of the US Trade Representative and the White House Office of Strategic Initiatives. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley as Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO after joining the firm’s mergers and acquisitions department.
Joe received an AB in History with honors from Harvard College and a JD/MBA with distinction from New York University. He is admitted to the New York and Massachusetts bars, a CFA charterholder, and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He also serves as a director of Husco, a manufacturer of high-performance hydraulic and electro-mechanical components, and Generation Citizen, a national non-profit focused on youth civics education, engagement, and advocacy.
